  what i found most interesting in this 2014 theocratic ministry school schedule were the subjects that would be discussed during the week of jesus' supposed 100th anniversary on the throne.... week of oct.6.

  bible reading: deuteronomy 1-3 no.1: deuteronomy 2:16-30 no.2: relief from satans wicked in?uence is near (rs p.3654 p.3663) no.3: does the bible teach that sexual relations are sinful?

  • No.1: Deuteronomy 2:16-30
  • No.2: Relief From Satan’s Wicked In?uence Is Near (rs p.365¶4 – p.366¶3)
  • No.3: Does the Bible Teach That Sexual Relations Are Sinful? (rs p.367¶1 – p.368¶2)

  So, on Jesus' 100th anniversary on the throne, the #2 talk is... "THE END IS NEAR !!!"

  (followed by some drivel about sexual relations being "Biblical" as long as you're married)

  WTF ???

  Can anyone recommend a really good strategy game for iPad?

  i don't often play games but i like the idea of playing a strategy game if it is well designed and has a historical or political basis.

  i've enjoyed playing civilization and sim city before, although i never played even those a great deal.. can anyone tell me the best such game to play on the ipad so i can avoid wasting time on any rubbish games?

  are ipad games up to scratch compared to games made for pcs and consoles and so on?

  so, unexpectedly, the final talk was announced today and to my surprise and evil glee, they announced gerrit loesch as the speaker!

  first off, at the beginning of his talk, he interrupted himself in the middle of his sentence to scold the microphone brother to lower my mike it's right in my face.. anyway, it was the talk on inspired truth, vs. inspired falsehoods.

  he went through 6 expressions inspired by the demons.

  Cedars... you're spot on. Because the new FDS definition is about them, they announce it in a special setting with "specal" people to draw more adoration for themselves. Had the Nu-Lite been about the "Great Crowd" or any other subject, they would have simply published it in a rag. Pompous @ssh0le$...

  What on earth happened to the magazines?

  for the first time in years today.

  to say that it took me five minutes to read the whole thing would be to flatter the rag.

  it doesn't even seem to contain actual articles any more, just headings and bullet points and pictures.

  So assuming it costs the Watchtower Corporation 10 cents ($.10 USD) to produce a 32-page rag, their monthly rag-producing costs have dropped by $101,187,000 per month. That's a yearly savings of of over $1.2 Billion USD !!!

  TWA flight 800....a cover up conspiracy I happen to believe...

  the official ruling that it was faulty wiring in a fuel pump that caused a boeing 747, 11 mins after take-off, to explode never seemed credible.

  that, plus eye witness accounts of a streak of light going up, towards the plane, were explained away with the most contorted reasoning.. the plane's altitude had not exceeded the range of a shoulder fired, "stinger" missile which could easily have been fired from a boat.

  other theories are that it was a us navy missile.

  Airlines were forced to make stupid modifications like nitrogen generating systems to displace oxygen in the fuel tanks... totally unecessary and ridiculous... all done to give the TWA 800 investigation credibility...

  You can throw matches in a trash can filled with Jet fuel all day long... it won't explode... Jet A fuel only ignites when it is atomized, meaning you have to force it through a nozzle and create a spray pattern...

  So, i too agree that the Center Fuel Tank did not explode on it's own....

  i know an elder who's a chiropractor and he generously gives $400-800 a month to the society.

  so what is a jw's explanation on why animals grow old and die?.....

  last time i checked, animals did not sin nor did they rebel against god.... so why do they have the same fate as humans?.

  has anyone asked this question?.

  i thought i would share some of my observations on counting field service time, reports, etc.

  and how those reports are viewed, to those that are still so fixated on numbers.. i served as secretary on the service committee for many years, and have seen it all!.

  i was really disheartened when wt changed the requirement for aux pioneering to allow for 30 hrs, instead of the 50 it has been for so long.
